At “Iranian Women” we seek to provide news and analysis about developments related to Iranian women and the Iranian women’s movement.  We hope this site will be a place to amplify voices and perspectives of Iranian women and rights activists, which are seldom heard by international audiences. We strive to provide balanced, nuanced and realistic view points and reflect the complex realities of Iranian women’s lives, the challenges they face as well as their achievements.  We work to inform but also to break stereotypes. In so doing, we hope to build bridges and mutual solidarity between Iranian women and their counterparts internationally. The site draws on the perspectives and experiences of activists, many inside the country, but also some living outside with a long history of advocating for women’s rights.
